In recent years, McDan Group of Companies has supported the GTF in areas of financing, assisting players and developing the sport in the country through sponsorship of the tournament.

A few years ago, it bailed out the GTF by paying the $10,000 the local federation owed in affiliation fees to the International Tennis Federation (ITF) which resulted in Ghana being banned from participating in international competitions. — GNA
