While in the region for a five day campaign duty, he visited the grave of former Head of State Dr Hilla Limann.

He also toured the Wa West and Wa Central constituencies with his campaign team, which included the National 3rd Vice Chairman of the party, Alhaji Tidjani.

The CPP is hoping to make history by winning this year’s presidential election since Ghana’s first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, assumed office on the ticket of the party some six decades ago.

At the Wa West Constituency, Prof. Delle told the supporters that the future of the country depended on the youth.

He called on the young ones to take issues of governance seriously.

He also advised the supporters to not only vote for CPP but to campaign for its flag bearer, Mr Greenstreet.

The party’s parliamentary candidate, Mr Issahaque Suleman, remarked that the Wa Central Constituency, with a voter population of about 80,000, lacked the quality of leadership it deserved.

He said for about 24 years now, the people had voted  in a particular pattern, but they had nothing concrete to show for it.

He argued that the time had come to block the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and change the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Ghana to get back to the path of prosperity.

The regional chairman,  called for total support for the party and Mr Greenstreet.

He was confident that the party would win the eleciton at the constituency level and lauded Prof. Delle for his hard work.
