They also took the Perfect Score Award for answering all questions correctly in succession.

Six other churches, that also competed in the quiz were the Harvest Baptist Church, the Dansoman Baptist Church, the Berean Baptist Church, the Church of Pentecost (Kasoa) and the Royal Priesthood Baptist Church.

AWANA, which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, is a para-church organisation that has established clubs in some churches.

The quiz competition is held every Easter to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Representatives of the various churches answered questions from the AWANA handout which contained questions and answers from both the Old and New Testaments.

The AWANA Missionary in Ghana, Pastor Joseph Gyebi advised children to study the Bible seriously and abide by the word so as to draw people to Christ.

He said when children understood and memorised the Bible, it would help them to become morally upright.
