Efya to shake up 1000s at One Africa Music concert

She was the toast of many when the first edition of  the One Africa Music concert which featured some of African best acts such as Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Banky W, Flavour, Wale, Davido, Diamond Platnumz, Seun Kuti came off last July.

And come Saturday, October 22, Ghanaian soul singer Efya will be joined by the likes of  2Face, Dbanj, Fally Ipupa, KCee, Mafikizolo, Flavour, Cabo Snoop, Olamide, PSquare, Seyi Shay, J Martins, Vanessa Mdee, Skales, Tekno, Lil Keke among others to serve African music to the 1000s of  patrons of the second edition of the concert which will be hosted at the Toyota Center, Houston in the United States of America. 

In an interview with Showbiz, Efya who has been selected for the fourth season of Coke Studio said she’s excited to sell Ghanaian music outside the shores of ther nation.

“It was a great day for me when in July this year, Stonebwoy and I gave Africans in the Diaspora the opportunity to enjoy good music brewed from Ghana. This edition is another opportunity to sell Ghanaian music and I’m rehearsing hard not to disappoint because I’m representing Ghana,” she told Showbiz on Friday.

One Africa Music Fest is an afrobeat concert put together by Upfront and Personal Event Management Company which aims among others at promoting and celebration African music.  

Efya believes the initiative is one that needs to be encouraged since it provides the platform for African migrants in the US to “enjoy home music”.

Since entering into the Ghanaian music scene, the sultry singer has blessed music lovers with songs such as Gingam Too Much, Hele Mi, Sexy Sassy Wahala, Best in Me, Jorley and Little Things.
