Inspector Beatrice Ayeh informed the TDC Magistrate Court, presided by Madam Akosua Anokyewaa Agyapong, that prosecution was waiting for the bill of indictment to proceed with the committal hearing of the suspect.

The case was consequently adjourned to November 21, 2019.

Background
Rev. Dr. David Nabegmado, Senior Pastor of the Central Assemblies of God Church at Tema Community 4, was stabbed to death on Sunday, December 30, 2018, while preparing in his office at the church premises to deliver a sermon.

A 31-year-old man Francis Nabegmado, who happens to be a nephew of the deceased allegedly carried out the act and attempted to escape. He was subsequently arrested by church members and handed over to the police.

The court had earlier ordered a psychiatric and medical examination to be conducted on the suspect, tests which have been concluded and reports submitted to the court.

The suspect made his first appearance at the TDC Magistrate Court on January 3, 2019 but his plea was not taken. He has since been on remand pending further police investigations.
