Pacquaio skips training?

Manny Pacquiao’s calf muscles continue to cause the Filipino boxer problems.

He reportedly missed his Saturday morning workout just over a month out from his May 2 mega-fight with Floyd Mayweather.

According to a USA Today report, Pacquiao skipped his normal Saturday run at the Pan Pacific Park. While his strength and conditioning coach, Justin Fortune, didn't give a specific reason explaining why his fighter was a no-show, a likely suspect comes to mind: his calves.

And Fortune didn't hold back from criticising Pacquiao when he had the chance.

"I make it hard for him but he needs to suck it up," Fortune told USA Today. "Fighting Mayweather is not easy, either. There are always consequences."

Last week, Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, revealed to Yahoo Sports that Pacquiao was dealing with leg cramps as he continues to train for his fight against Floyd Mayweather. At the time, Roach said they had both doctors and masseurs on the case, and they purchased a $1,800 bottle of anti-inflammatory cream to rub into his calves.

Roach and Fortune also decided to put an end to Pacquiao's hill-running routine at Griffith Park and relocated a large chunk of his training to UCLA's track. Still, on the days Pacquiao doesn't train at UCLA, he takes to Pan Pacific Park for some roadwork.
