Siaw Agyepong nominated for Africa Business Awards
The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, Mr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, has been nominated as a finalist in this year’s All Africa Business Leaders Award (AABLA).

Mr Agyepong was nominated in the category of “Business Leader of the Year” for the West Africa division.
A statement released by the organisers of the event said: “The award is in recognition of Mr Agyepong’s immense contribution and sterling leadership in revolutionising waste management in Ghana and other African countries.
Organised annually by a Pan-African event company, ABN Production in partnership with CNBC Africa, the award scheme seeks to honour business excellence and leaders who have made a considerable impact on their industry and community.
The event also focuses on the remarkable leadership and salute game changers of business on the continent for their continuing commitment to excellence, developing best practices and innovative strategies.
According to the statement, winners of the awards exemplified the best in African leadership.
“They epitomise the core values of a successful leader, strength, innovation, ingenuity, knowledge and foresight – values that are imperative to carving out powerful businesses in a Pan-African and global economy,” it said.
In addition to the Business Leader of the Year, there are also other awards for the Young Business Leader of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Businesswoman of the Year, Innovator of the Year, Industrialist of the Year, Company of the Year, Philanthropist of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

ABN Productions pioneered the AABLA, in partnership with CNBC Africa in 2011, after Founder and Vice Chairman of the ABN Group, Mr Rakesh Wahi, attended the European business leader awards in 2009.
Inspired by the recognition of European business leadership, Mr Wahi decided to salute remarkable business leaders for their continuing commitment to excellence in Africa.
