Greater Accra Ahmadiyya Muslim Women hold confab

Members of the Greater Accra Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association (Laijna Imallah) have held their 33rd annual conference at the Ahmadiyya Muslim International Educational complex at Old Ashongman, near Madina in Accra.

Numbering over 500, they were drawn from six circuits in the region, namely Tema, Abossey Okai, Achimota, Darkuman, Nima and Kasoa. The theme for this year’s conference was, “Obedience to Allah and His Prophets”. 

In her welcome address, Hajia (Mrs) Sadika Bonsu Yeboah, the Greater Accra Regional President of the association urged Ahmadi Muslim women to sacrifice their lives and wealth for the advancement of Islam and the betterment of mankind. 

She also advised members to fill their hearts with righteousness to enable them to get closer to Allah. 

Other speakers included Mrs Adusei Donkor and Mrs Naeema Wahab Hammond, National Secretary and National Publicity Secretary respectively of the association. 

In their separate remarks, they urged the members to obey Allah and His messengers in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Qu’ran. 

Exhibitions of handicrafts and locally prepared foods and beverages were mounted by all the six circuits. The conference was chaired by Haijia (Mrs) Hafsa Obosu, the National President of the association.
