Brong Ahafo NPP: Full results show one incumbent casualty

But for the Member of Parliament for Asunafo North, Robert Sarfo Mensah who lost in his bid, all other incumbent MPs in the Brong Ahafo region were retained by the delegates in the opposition New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primaries.

Evans Opoku Bobie got 321 votes to beat the incumbent Asunafo North MP, Robert Sarfo Mensah who got 228 votes. A third contestant Farouk Nkrumah got 221 votes.

At Sunyani East, the incumbent Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh had a narrow escape, winning with a one vote difference. He got 388 as against 387 by his contender, George Kumi.

Graphic Online’s Brong Ahafo Regional correspondents, Emmanuel Adu Gyamerah, Kwame Asiedu Marfo and Zadok Gyesi reported that the entire process was smooth in the region.
