Your boyfriend is NOT your husband

Your boyfriend is not your husband

I am a huge fan of Game of Thrones (GoT) and after seeing “An hour of Ice and Fire” where Khaleesi dealt with the sex-crazed and potty-mouthed khans by setting the Dothraki hut ablaze, I was filled with so much excitement that I called a friend, Tiwa to share my expectation for the next episode. As Tiwa picked up the phone and we started talking, I noticed that her responses were curt and her tone flat. I had to end all the GoT talk and ask her what was wrong. She surprisingly broke into tears and started to narrate the story of how her boyfriend had embarrassed her earlier in the day, in front of their friend.

8 Signs he's obsessed with himself

True narcissism isn't just a proclivity to flood everyone's Instagram feed with tons of selfies. It's an extreme obsession with oneself and a need to constantly feel loved and appreciated. There's a huge difference between someone being selfish or having a more-than-healthy appreciation of themselves and someone whose self-obsession might actually be damaging your relationship.

here are times when you’ll get to a point in your relationship where you’ll be desperate for love advice. However, you need to be very careful about where you get your advice. The wrong opinion could end up making things a lot worse.

Relationship expert Evan Marc Katz said you’ll know you got bad advice if it doesn’t work. There’s only one metric to determine whether advice is good: Does it work or not? Here are the people you should run away from if they try to give you relationship advice.

Fighting over a woman is the ultimate sign of a man losing himself.

Will you fight over a woman?

One characteristic of the animal kingdom is that males fight over females to pass on their genes. You find this among insects, birds, reptiles and mammals.

In fact among a species of apes, one in four males is killed by its own kind over territory, more specifically over females.

13 Compliments guys secretly love to hear

In a recent thread on Ask Reddit, the dudes of the forum were asked to divulge the type of compliments they most love receiving — and while some of the answers seemed totally obvious, quite a few of them were actually pretty surprising. The general consensus was that any compliment is a good compliment as long as it's genuine, but when asked to get specific, the answers were completely across the board.

Here are just a few of the things men secretly love to get complimented on.

When your parents are wrong (Part 2)

Parents are not always right. Objections based on racism, classism, religious bias or homophobia are not acceptable. While your parents may have the best of intentions with these types of objections, you need to hold your ground and not give in to their bigotry.

Your boss always notices these things about you

No matter what field you're in — health, engineering, media, education, design, etc. — you (most likely) answer to a higher-up, and FYI, said higher-up is evaluating you daily. And not just your work.

Your boss notices a range of things about you, because her job is, well, to keep an eye on you. Whether you like it or not, here are the things she's observing regularly. Pro tip: Work hard five days a week!

Instead, accept readily the fact that we all forget such little things in life every now and then

Ten deadly phrases that can kill relationship

If you’re married or in a long-term relationship, you should leave some things unsaid. Words are arrows; you might end up hitting the wrong target, so be extra careful at where you aim.

When your parents hate the one you love ( Part One)

It will probably happen to you at least once in your life. You'll fall for somebody that your parents don't like. Sometimes, their disapproval will be valid, other times it will be irrational, but no matter what it will be hard for you to deal with.

What do you do when your parents can't stand the person you’re dating? Before taking on the role of diplomat, or even worse, the role of family agitator, there are some things that you need to examine.

Can a Significant age gap ruin your relationship?

It is said that age is just a number when it comes to love, and it’s more evident today that people don’t focus on age gaps in relationships as much as they used to. Even those negative stigmas associated with an older man dating a younger girl, or an older woman and a younger man, have gradually crept into our culture.

It really boils down to compatibility, lifestyle, goals, vitality, and interests.
