‘Happy birthday, Madam minister’

The Miss Malaika delegates have paid a surprise visit to the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Ms Dzifa Gomashie, to share in her birthday joy.

The delegates sang a birthday song and also presented her with a birthday cake.

Ms Gomashie expressed appreciation for the gesture and said she would treasure the gift and thoughtfulness forever.

She encouraged the delegates to stay focused in the competition and not only strive to win the crown but also think of what they could do to help women in their respective societies.

Ms Gomashie is no stranger to the Miss Malaika beauty pageant because for three consecutive years, she was a godmother on the cultural night episode where the delegates represented their various cultural backgrounds.  

She relived her time on the cultural nights and said “I will be proud to be associated with Miss Malaika anytime”.
