The national U-20 team, the Black Satellites are exuding confidence ahead of their clash with their Senegalese counterparts in their first leg Africa Youth Championship final qualifiers in Dakar on Sunday.

Coach Didi Dramani’s boys appear the favourites in Sunday’s clash after an impressive 5-2 aggregate over Ethiopia in the previous qualifier.

Black Satellites striker, Dauda Mohammed, yesterday summed up the mood in camp when he declared that the Satellites won’t allow the Senegalese to spoil their party.

Dauda, who has been impressive in Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s outings this season, told the Graphic Sports that they were more than prepared for the Senegal battle assuring Ghanaians of nothing less than qualification.

Arguably the Satellites task appear quite herculean as the Senegalese present quite a formidable challenge, having eliminated Tunisia on their way to this stage.

But  Dauda summed up the resolve of his teammates thus, “I must thank God for bringing us this far and we are ready to play our hearts out to make sure we qualify for Zambia next year. It’s an away game but success would be ours if we only keep cool heads.”

The team, however, will be missing the services of playmaker, Emmanuel Lomotey, but they still have Yaw Yeboah, Evan Mensah and others.
