Abrempon Academy to develop more talents — Founder
Following their triumph in the 2022-2023 National Juvenile Football League in the Ejisu Juabeng District of the Ashanti Region, Abrempon Soccer Academy have launched a talent search initiative to provide young players with a platform to showcase their skills and potentially contribute to national teams.

Having emerged as champions among 15 teams in the under-17 category, the academy's management is eager to offer more youngsters, the opportunity to discover their talents and contribute to the growth of football in Ghana.
The founder of the academy, Kwame Appiah-Kubi, told the Daily Graphic that the management deemed it important to provide a platform for young players to showcase their talents, adding that it was their ultimate goal to prepare the players for national competitions.
Grassroots development
He said it was the academy's determination to build a strong and successful team not only for the district but also for the entire country, starting from grassroots development.
He added that the academy aimed to nurture and groom talented individuals capable of making a positive impact at the highest level.
“Our plan is to build a solid and winsome team not only for the district but for the country at large and we are doing so from the grassroots level,” he said.
Pre-season training for the upcoming season commenced last Wednesday, June 28, during which the academy assessed other invited players to justify their inclusion.
Established in 2019, Abrempon Academy have been the sole juvenile team in the district, offering opportunities for young players who may not have the means to travel to the city but still possess untapped talent.

Mr Appiah-Kubi appealed to corporate bodies and philanthropists to support the academy's mission, not only in talent development but also in providing educational opportunities.
He highlighted the academy's success in sending many children to primary, junior high and senior high school levels.
“We have sent many of the children to school from the primary, junior high and the senior high school levels.
So, I think that given the necessary support, we would do more.
We only call on corporate sponsors to come on board and support our course."
