They are the Institute of Chartered Accountancy Ghana, the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

The collaboration is poised to enhance the marketability of students navigating through the Business School at the university college.

Entry

A statement issued in Accra said with the MoU, students would benefit by obtaining streamlined entry into the professional bodies, earning coveted titles such as Chartered Bankers, Chartered Accountants, or Chartered Marketers.

The symbiotic partnership, it said required Wisconsin International University College Ghana to align its syllabi with the rigorous standards set by the three professional bodies.

Whether pursuing a BSc in Accounting, BSc in Banking and Finance, or a BA in Marketing, it said students would receive tailored education that seamlessly integrated with the requirements of the esteemed institutions.

“Crucially, this initiative promises numerous advantages for students, offering them a well-defined pathway to professional accreditation and industry recognition.

As an integral condition of the MoU, the Business School's syllabi will undergo periodic reviews by the three professional bodies.

“This ensures that the educational programmes maintain the highest quality and adhere to the evolving standards of the Institute of Chartered Accountancy Ghana, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and the Chartered Institute of Bankers,” the statement said.

Reviews

It said regular reviews of the syllabi by the three institutions would serve as a proactive measure to ensure that students were equipped with the latest industry-relevant knowledge and skills.

Moreover, it said the collaborative effort extended beyond the classroom would foster a network between students and professionals in the banking, accounting and marketing sectors.

“This connection opens doors for internships, mentorships and industry exposure, providing students with a holistic educational experience that extends beyond theoretical frameworks,” it said.

Open doors

The statement said the MoU would open doors for students, paving the way for a future where their academic achievements would seamlessly translate into recognised professional success.

Beyond the academic benefits, it said the MoU would establish a dynamic feedback loop between the university’s business with its campuses in Accra and Kumasi and the three professional bodies.

“The strategic alignment of educational curricula with industry standards also enhances the employability of students. Graduates from Wisconsin International University College Ghana's Business School are poised to enter the workforce with a competitive edge, armed with both academic excellence and the practical acumen demanded by the professional bodies,” it said.

As the business landscape evolves, the statement said the pioneering initiative would ensure that the university remained at the forefront of delivering education that not only met but exceeded industry expectations.
