The five leadership positions which were contested for were the Boys and Girls prefects, Compound Overseer, Permanent Senior on Duty as well as the Sports Prefect.

For the first time in the history of the school, candidates picked and filled nomination forms for positions in both the Primary and JHS departments. The nominees also went through vetting processes afterwhich the candidates printed posters and campaigned for the positions they were vying for.

The pupils were also taken through the voting processes to minimise rejected ballot papers. The electoral materials were produced with support from the Electoral Commission (EC).

At the Junior High School (JHS) level, Kingsley Ofori was elected as the School Prefect with 35 votes while Amaonimaa Maxine had 12 votes to become the Assistant School Prefect.

Gideon Tanye polled 41 votes to become the Compound Overseer while his contender, Oduro Nyarko Mabel took the second position with 13 votes.

At the Primary section, Joana Amankwaa lost narrowly with 46 votes to Mary Jagri who had 49 votes to emerge the Girls Prefect.

Micheal Darko won the Boys Prefect position with 62 votes while his challenger, Korang Joshua had 23 votes to take the Assistant Boys Prefect position.

Cindy Sarfowaa was elected as the Compound Overseer with 68 votes while Martin Bubune had 30 votes.
There were no spoilt ballots given the extensive education on the exercise.

The Headmistress of the school, Madam Janet Buruwa Dei-Agyei challenged the prefects to exhibit good leadership and warned them against bullying.

She asked the pupils and students to obey and support their leaders to enable them to discharge their duties diligently.

Madam Dei-Agyei explained that they took the pupils through the electoral process to enable them to understand the country’s democratic processes.
