GMB 2018 finalists unveiled in Takoradi
TEN gorgeous young ladies who will vy for the ultimate crown at this year’s Ghana Most Beautiful(GMB 2018) were unveiled on Sunday, September 16 at Jubilee Park, West Tanokrom in Sekondi/Takoradi.

This happened during the launch of Season 12 of the annual TV reality beauty pageant show organised by TV3.
Naa(Greater Accra Region)
All 10 contestants dressed in beautiful wax prints were heralded to the venue with drumming and dancing as they made their way to sit on traditional stools in the middle of the Jubilee Park.
Adepa(Western Region)
The ladies who represent each of the nation’s 10 regions are Ruby Nuo Nang(Upper West Region), Portia Wekia Danlugu(Upper East Region), Deborah Adepa Amoabea Nti(Western Region), Lisa Ahenkra(Brong Ahafo Region) and Mercy Dzifa Nkulenu(Volta Region).
Afrah(Ashanti Region)
The rest are Abigail Nsiah Afrah(Ashanti Region), Perpetual Tewa Opei-Larbi,(Central Region), Leonora Naa Adjin-Tettey(Greater Accra), Suleman Nebia Feruza(Northern Region) and Naomi Abena Obeng(Eastern Region).
According to the contestants, they are aware of the task ahead and the expectations of their respective regions.
Lisa(Brong Ahafo Region)
They promised to be worthy ambassadors, impart and unite the nation through their respective unique traditional values.
In a chat with Showbiz, Mercy Dzifa Nkulenu who is representing the Volta Region at GMB 2018 said she is very much aware of the challenge ahead and would not let her region down.
Dzifa(Volta Region)
“We in the Volta Region have a very rich culture, festivals and tourist attractions. I will do a good job to present the region to the rest of nation and the world, make everybody proud, and win the crown for the region” she said.
For the Eastern regional representative, Naomi Obeng, her main focus is the 3Cs— the car, cash and crown.
Abena(Eastern Region)
“I am not perturbed by the unique features of the other regions. In fact, I am motivated by the challenge ahead, and I will do my best to promote my region, the nation and then win the money for my STI project.”
Nabia(Northern Region)
Organisers of the event, TV3 say the GMB Season 12 like the previous ones would also offer the same opportunity for contestants to take viewers on a journey of discovering the hidden tourist attractions in their areas, food and other unique features about each region.
Nuo(Upper West Region)
In a brief speech, the guest speaker at the ceremony, Awulae Amihere Kpanyile III, President of Eastern Nzeam Tradtional Area and the Vice President of the Western Region House of Chiefs said GMB 2018 stands to promote Ghanaian culture and tradition.
Tewa(Central Region)
He urged traditional rulers should lend their support to ensure the success of the laudable move by the organisers and urged the contestants to be good ambassadors of the country’s rich and diverse cultures.
Wekia(Upper East Region)
The colourful ceremony was graced traditional rulers and witnessed by a large crowd from the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis and adjoining districts with organised groups from all the 10 regions who came to lend their support to the contestants.
