The figures are the latest being reported by the GHS via the Ghana Covid-19 website, and ahead of a scheduled press conference Thursday morning led by the Ministry of Information and allied institutions championing Ghana’s management of the pandemic.

The latest update has the Bono region recording its first case, leaving three regions – Bono East, Ahafo and Savannah as the only yet to record any case.

The national capital still has the highest number of cases – 2,579 (about 83 per cent), followed by Ashanti at 165 and Eastern at 95.

The national case count is borne out of a total of 137,924 tests, which also indicates that more men than women have tested positive for the disease.
