The 2pm event is expected to see performances from some renowned artistes including Paapa Yankson,   General Nkatia,  empaul, Ohene Martin, Doctor Adu, The oorchestra, Angelic Youth Choir, Golden Bell Choir and Osei Baafour.

Organised by EmPaul Foundation, the show as explained by Emmanuel Paul-Nimfah – Wilkinson, founder of EmPaul Foundation is “to create an atmosphere for families to celebrate their fathers. It makes meaning if the family shares their love and extend their gratitude in simple words to that father and leave him with a gift of laughter and smiles.

He told Showbiz the event is to celebrate fathers and make them feel proud of who they are and be inspired to lead, love and care for their families.

A father of one, Empaul said he has been saddened about the low excitement and publicity that greeted Father’s Day celebration as compared to mothers’. The trend, he said, wasn’t good as it discouraged fathers who were responsible from discharging their divine duties as heads of families.

“I am inspired by the act of fatherhood and I believe we must give it a rightful place and recognition for the sake of saving our society from going down. It’s a complex world now and we need fathers to stand and their voices heard to ensure proper direction for us and generations to come,” he stated.

The occasion will also be used to launch his new album, Our Fathers, Our Pride which is the theme song for the day.
