Kotoko board tours prospective Anane Boateng Stadium and Adako Jachie training complex
The Adako Jachie training complex and the Kessben owned Anane Boateng Stadium at Abrankese for a possible take over.

Asante Kotoko, since its formation on August 31, 1935, have adopted a number of state-owned facilities with the Jackson park and most especially Baba Yara Sports stadium as their home venue which has brought fond memories for the former Africa champions.

Despite the well-documented history of the club, it cannot boast of its own stadium. This has impressed on the life patron of the club to instruct the new board of directors to build a stadium for the club.
However, the Board of Directors earlier on Friday, July 3 held a meeting to discuss the well-being of the club and after the meeting visited the AdakoJachie training complex, the Anane Boateng Stadium as well as the club’s secretariat at Odeneho Kwadaso.

Board Member, Alhaji Abu Lamin during the inspection at the Anane Boateng told Oyerepa FM that, they are yet to take a firm decision on whether to acquire the already built stadium or start a new stadium on their own.
“We are currently making an analysis. We are on inspection, we have already visited Adako Jachie and decided to inspect Abrankese (Anane Boateng Stadium) to make the best decision for Asante Kotoko. We will inspect the secretariat and after we will sit on it and make known our decision to the media,” he noted.
“We are not doing this because of our acceptance to participate in Africa, we are thinking and trying to give something good for Kotoko so the fans should give us some time and we will come out with a good decision”

“We can’t give a decision on the Anane Boateng Stadium now but we will surely take a good decision on it soon”
The tour of the stadium is in line with plans to purchase the facility to be used for the Asante Kotoko Academy project as well as the construction of a club house and Hostels for the players.
Delivering a strong youth team will be beneficial to the senior team as Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has directed that no signings should be made for a period of one year.
Meanwhile, the Anane Boateng Sports Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Kumasi, built by Mr Kwabena Kesse the C.E.O of Kessben Group of Companies Ghana at Abrankese near Kuntenase in the Bosomtwe District of Ashanti Region.
The stadium was the home venue of Kessben (which was rechristened Medeama after it changed ownership) of the Ghana Premier League.
The stadium holds 12,000 spectators and opened in 2007.
