Andre converted a spot kick in the 66^th minute after Connor Roberts had been brought down in the box to hand his side the maximum points in the championship.

The result means Swansea are four points off the top six with five games remaining in the season, and will be hoping to win the rest of their matches to qualify for the play off.

Manager of the side, Steve Cooper admitted that they need to grab the maximum points in the rest of their matches to have any chance of playing in the play-off.

“We need to attack the game and the objective is to close the gap.

“Obviously the picture may change with games being played before we do, but it’s about getting three points and closing the gap if possible.

“All the remaining games are massive, but attack is the right word for how we are looking at it.”

Swansea are currently eighth on the championship table with 60 points and just four points adrift Cardiff City who are sixth with 64 points.
