Stop the politics of violence!

Let’s put it plainly. It is absolutely foolish for anyone to engage in any form of mayhem and violence at the behest of a politician or political party.

It is absolute foolishness. By all means feel free to be an activist. By all means feel free to go around the country campaigning for the party of your choice.  And do so with passion and gusto. But that should be where it ends.

We have some few days to go to the polls; and unfortunately news concerning political violence across the country is making the rounds. The usual suspects are some supporters of the two main political parties – the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

As a writer, I get tired writing over and over again about how some supporters of the two main political parties feel emboldened and would do the unthinkable just to get an opponent out of the way. What is the worse thing that can happen to them? Nothing.

Or even where some arrests are made, you w
