The Chairman of the People's National Convention (PNC), Mr Bernard Mona has suggested that the memorial monument to be erected for the late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama, should be at Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region.

He argued that mounting it at where Major Mahama met his untimely death would help serve as a reminder to the residents in the area that they have betrayed national loyalty.

According to him, erecting a statue of the fallen army officer in Denkyira-Obuasi would also help reshape the minds of the people in the area towards suspected criminals.

In an interview with Graphic Online at the forecourt of the State House, Friday morning, he said it was unacceptable to take a person's life like the way it was done to the amy officer.

Mr Mornah was at the forecourt of the State House in Accra to also pay his last respects to the fallen soldier.
