The Queen mother of the Tay-Agbozo Royal family of Dzelukope, Mama Dasewa II organised a party for over 700 children at her palace in the Volta Region on Easter Saturday.

The party which is an annual event is self-financed by the Queen mother and supported by her siblings, nephews and nieces. The event aims at bringing together all the children at Dzelukope and its environs to make merry during the festivities.

Mama Dasewa II known in private life as Freda Adjoa Tay-Agbozo, in a speech urged the children to take their studies serious in school and aspire to attain greater heights in future.

She explained that due to global pandemic, the party was put on hold the past two years “therefore, it is great joy to bond with the children once again like we always do in the past.”

The children who had a fun-filled day recited poems, Bible verses, and had a rap and dance contest among themselves. At the end of the day they were presented with clothes, water bottles, packed foods, drinks and gift items.
