Out of about 500 breast cancer patients who reported to the Ho Teaching Hospital (HTH) between 2012 and 2026, more than 366 were successfully treated.

The patients were from Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria.

An oncology nurse specialist at the HTH chemotherapy suite, Georgina Joyce Yawa Gyamfi, disclosed this to The Mirror in Ho last Wednesday.

The Volta Regional Chairman of the Paediatric Society of Ghana (PSG), Dr Bright Danyo, has urged the public to support efforts to reduce rabies deaths by ensuring that dogs are vaccinated.

He said Ghana had an estimated 2.5 million dogs and that vaccinating at least 70 per cent of them would help the country achieve the global target of zero human deaths from rabies by 2030.

Dr Danyo made the call in an interview in Ho last Wednesday, September 30, to mark World Rabies Day.

A 37-year-old welder in Ho, Justice Kwami Senyo Zokli, who allegedly dug a grave at the family house and stabbed his elder brother 17 times in an attempt to kill him and subsequently bury him, is set to stand trial at the Ho High Court for attempted murder.

From a distance, the compound looks like any other prison. But that impression changes the moment you step inside the Nyagatare Juvenile Correctional Facility, where classrooms and workshops, rather than cells, are among the first things to greet you.

I remember leaving the exhibition with the feeling that I had stumbled upon something much larger than a collection of old photographs.
