Talent hunt at Ballers’ Camp

A basketball scouting camp, which forms part of the annual Ballers’ Camp is underway at the Aviation Social Centre with about 500 students athletes from basic, second cycle and tertiary schools being drilled to secure sporting scholarships abroad.

The Ballers’ Camp, which was put together by the Royalty Sports Academy Foundation (RoSAF) in collaboration with the African Youth Basketball Organisation, a US-based scouting institution, started last Monday with the young players taken through academic, athletic and attitudinal development and competitions aimed at upgrading their skills.

Tomorrow at the same venue, students from the Central University  Marshalls University, Blue Crest College and Royalty Sports Academy will battle it out for honours in one of the activities known as the Collegiate Basketball tournament.

The three-week event is sponsored by Blue Skies, Vit’s Noodles, HFC Bank with support from Daily Graphic, and GTV Sports Plus.
