Kotoko land GH¢360,000 Supabets sponsorship
The acting Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Opoku Nti, has expressed his delight with the club’s new partnership with sports betting firm Supabets, after signing a three-year sponsorship deal worth GHc360,000 to become the latest sponsor of the Porcupine Warriors.
He said he believed the First Capital Plus Premier League leaders would provide the company the best platform available to market their services in return for the GH¢120,000-a-year payments Kotoko will be receiving, representing the second most lucrative deal the club enjoys after that of headline sponsor, MTN.
Supabets was represented by its Operations Manager, Fabrizio Lencioni, Country Director, Danny Dayani and Oppong Yeboah, who signed on behalf of the company at a brief ceremony in Kumasi last Monday.
Despite boasting of several corporate sponsors spearheaded by MTN, Everpure Mineral Water, Latex Foam, Interplast, Blue Jeans energy drink and Vit’s Noodles, Kotoko have been struggling financially lately and the Surpabets deal will help cushion the club from its financial woes.
As part of their contractual obligations, Supabets will have its logo emblazoned on the back of Kotoko’s jerseys during matches.
