The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has said the application portal for the Regular Students Loan and Students Loan Plus schemes for the 2025/2026 academic year will officially close on next week Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
All applicants currently at various stages of the application process, it said, were strongly advised to complete and submit their applications promptly before the deadline.
It said the application portal would be closed to ensure timely disbursements for the 2025/2026 academic year and to adequately prepare for the 2026/2027 academic year.

“To date, the Fund has disbursed GH¢ 170,493,187.50 under the Regular Students Loan package to 47,988 beneficiaries.
An additional GH¢ 17,205,184.13 has been disbursed to 1,426 students, including 610 law students, as full fee-coverage loans under the Students Loan Plus initiative, paid directly to their respective tertiary institutions.
These figures reaffirm SLTF's continued commitment to expanding access to tertiary education financing across the country,” the Chief Executive Officer of the SLTF, Dr Saajida Shiraz, said in a statement to the Daily Graphic.
Process
As the fund works to process and disburse to all remaining applicants for the academic year, it said prospective beneficiaries were encouraged to complete and submit their applications promptly to ensure a smooth processing experience and avoid potential last-minute system congestion.
“The SLTF remains committed to providing access to timely financial resources to Ghanaian tertiary students,” it said.
