Nominees for this year’s edition of the Exclusive Men of the Year Awards also known as EMY Africa Awards were unveiled on Thursday, at an impressive ceremony at the Alliance Motors Showroom at Opeibea, Airport in Accra.
Since 2014 when Shirley Frimpong Manso’s Contract won four awards for Best Movie Director, Best Movie, Best Writing (Drama), and Best Video Editing at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA), Ghana has continuously performed poorly at the awards ceremony.

After being shown around the world, Ghanaian movie lovers will now get the chance to watch acclaimed filmmaker, Shirley Frimpong Manso’s Potato Potahto when it comes to the Silverbird Cinemas on November 30.
Described as an African marital comedy of errors, Potato Potahto has been lauded at nearly every event is has been shown including the Cannes Film Festival in May, the 38th Durban International Film Festival in July and the British Urban Film Festival in September.
