KNUST: Hulede Foundation supports 250 needy students to clear outstanding fees
The Hulede Foundation, a US-based non-governmental organization dedicated to assisting brilliant but underprivileged students in their pursuit of higher education, has provided financial support to 250 students at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to settle their outstanding fees.

These students, enrolled in various programs and at different academic levels, were facing the requirement of clearing their fees to continue their educational journey. In a remarkable intervention, the foundation stepped in to alleviate their financial burdens.
Last Friday, the foundation's founders organized a seminar on the university campus, bringing together the beneficiaries to interact with them and assess the impact of the support on their lives. During the session, some students became emotional as they shared the challenges they faced due to their inability to pay their fees.
Ms. Mauduana Ama Menyah, currently serving as the Editor in Chief of a newsletter managed by the Hulede Foundation, expressed her gratitude, highlighting that without the timely assistance, her educational aspirations might have come to an abrupt end after losing her father in her second year.
Ms. Menyah advised her fellow beneficiaries to honour the gesture by giving back to society and dedicating their lives as volunteers to bring about positive change.
Theodora Oduro, the Senior Assistant Registrar for Student Affairs and Financial Services (SAFS) at KNUST, extended her appreciation to the foundation on behalf of the beneficiaries.
She commended the organization for its life-changing educational support, emphasizing the positive impact it has had on the students' academic pursuits.
Earlier in the day, the Hulede Foundation also inaugurated a mechanized borehole and an accompanying water reservoir for the Amakom Cluster of Schools in Amakom.
This infrastructure project aims to enhance the sanitary conditions for the pupils, further demonstrating the foundation's commitment to improving education and well-being in local communities.
