The Dream Child Foundation has paid glowing tribute to legendary Ghanaian gospel duo, the Tagoe Sisters, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the welfare and empowerment of African children.
The recognition forms part of activities heralding the 2026 HoodTalk Music Festival scheduled for September 5 at the Black Star Square in Accra.
The award, presented during a brief but significant ceremony, at the Casa 1715 Restaurant in East Legon, celebrated the duo’s enduring impact through music, philanthropy, and advocacy.
It was presented by renowned Ghanaian musician Ben Brako, who is also a co-founder of Dream Child Foundation and was received by Elizabeth, one of the twins popularly known as “Kakra.”
Leadership of the Foundation commended the Tagoe Sisters for consistently using their platform to uplift vulnerable communities and inspiring hope across the continent.

In a citation accompanying the award, the Foundation highlighted Tagoe sisters’ inspiring musical journey, their compassionate outreach through the Twins Foundation and their strong collaboration with the organisation.
“Your selfless service, enduring sacrifice and remarkable commitment have touched countless lives, and helped shape a brighter future for many children across Africa,” the citation read.
The duo's memorable performances at previous HoodTalk events were also projected as key moments that have amplified the Foundation’s mission.
The Foundation further expressed profound appreciation for their legacy, describing it as one marked by compassion, integrity and lasting impact.
Presenting the award to Elizabeth, Ben Brako said: “Today, we celebrate not only your outstanding achievements but also the compassion and integrity that define your life's work.
Please accept this tribute as a heartfelt expression of our gratitude and admiration. Your hard work has been seen. Your sacrifices have been appreciated. Your legacy is making a lasting difference.”
The Tagoe Sisters are expected to support and perform at this year's Hoodtalk Music festival, which promises to bring together celebrated figures in music for what organisers describe as “a landmark event bringing together music’s finest legends and upcoming artists.”
Proposed headline artistes for Hoodtalk 2026 include Stonebwoy, Black Sherif and Wendy Shay.
