Kumasi-based media personality and TikToker Ama Parone has confirmed that she appears in an intimate video circulating on social media but has categorically denied any involvement in a second footage being shared online.
In a public statement issued on July 24, 2026, the presenter said the video currently circulating, which features her, is "a part of my past — a past I am not proud of" and does not reflect who she is today.
"I was younger, naive, and made poor choices that I deeply regret. That chapter of my life closed a long time ago. I have since grown, matured, and committed myself to becoming a woman of substance," she said.
However, she drew a firm line on a second video now being circulated. "That video is not me. The face of the lady in that footage is not shown, and I categorically deny any involvement. Please do not link me to a video. Do not use my name to create further false narratives. I am not the person in that footage, and I will not take responsibility for something I had no part in," she stated.
Ama Parone also addressed her "godfather", Rexford Kwaku Ntim, popularly known as DJ K.A, who has been at the centre of the controversy after a video of him in a sexually compromising situation surfaced online. She described him as a "pillar of support" who opened doors for her when she had nothing and believed in her when others did not.
"I am deeply saddened that we are both going through this storm at the same time. I pray for strength for you in these troubled and hard times. You are not defined by your mistakes, and I know that the man I look up to will come out of this stronger," she said.
She thanked those who had sent messages of support and prayers, while also addressing those who had spread lies and mocked her: "Hurt people hurt people, and I choose to heal rather than retaliate."
Kessben Media, where DJ K.A is employed, has suspended the presenter and launched an internal investigation into the incident. DJ K.A has apologised, taking full responsibility for recording the video but denying that he intentionally circulated it.
