He broke into his neighbour’s house and stole items valued at GH¢138,390.

The items included a double-deck fridge, a stove, an oven, 36 pieces of cloths and six pillows.

Charged with causing damage, unlawful entry and stealing, the convict pleaded guilty to all the charges and was convicted on his own plea at an Adenta Circuit Court presided over by Her Honour Sedinam Awo Balokah, last Monday.

Ms Balokah convicted the accused to one year on count one (causing damage), one and a half years
on count two (unlawful entry) and four years on count three (stealing) to run concurrently.

The prosecutor, Chief Inspector, Maxwell Lanyo, in his submission, told the court that the
complainant, Eric Gaanu, was a Detective Lance Corporal stationed at Madina, Accra. He was also the
caretaker of the house where the robbery took place.

Chief Inspector Lanyo said the house belonged to one Madam Chyskysha Ennis, who lived in France.

The prosecutor said Sedor was a resident of Agbogba, Accra, and on March 4, 2023, at midnight, he destroyed the main security door in order to gain access into Madam Chyskysha’s house.

He said all the items were retrieved from the convict after he was caught by the complainant/caretaker. When questioned, Sedor said he acted alone.
