‘Will have a special party when I win VGMA Artiste of the Year’ -Blacko

In an interview with Zionfelix, Kwaku The Traveller hitmaker disclosed that his celebration will involve a special party for rastas.

“We will walk onto the stage, take the award, and thank every single person. After thanksgiving, we will go home and assemble all the rastas to have our special party. The next morning, we’ll go back to making music, shoot a video and move forward with the work,” Blacko disclosed.

Since Charterhouse announced this year’s nominations on Saturday, March 18, Blacko and gospel singer, Piesie Esther have been forerunners in the category influencing pertinent conversations about the popular awards ceremony.

Until last Wednesday, May 3, Blacko who had not made a single post fired up interests of his followers as well as music cliques with a call for votes to secure him the ultimate.

“You’ve seen my blood, sweat and tears. You’ve seen the ups and downs of my journey. I’ve remained committed to my passion ever since I entered the game and I have no plans of changing that, not today, not tomorrow. Let’s go, VGMA,” he said.

Despite his strong conviction as a favourite for the Artiste of the Year, Blacko understands that it is a competition that anyone can grab it and very prepared for any outcome.

“There will be no disappointment, we will go home if we’re snubbed. I admit that I worked hard,” the ‘Oil On My Head’ singer said.

The artiste, who has taken the Ghanaian music scene by storm with hits such as “Second Sermon” Kwaku The Traveller and “The Villian I Never was” is very much appreciated by music enthusiasts particularly for his international exploits with his works.
