Ghana has been selected to host the 70th Session of the UN Tourism Commission for Africa (CAF) in 2027 after a successful bid at the 69th CAF meeting held in Seychelles.
The prestigious continental gathering will coincide with Ghana's 70th Independence Anniversary, offering the country a unique opportunity to welcome tourism ministers, policymakers, industry leaders and stakeholders from across Africa.
The event is expected to highlight Ghana's rich cultural heritage, thriving creative arts industry, renowned hospitality and diverse tourism destinations.
Leading Ghana's bid, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, reaffirmed the country's commitment to leveraging tourism as a driver of sustainable development, economic growth, cultural exchange and regional integration.

Securing the hosting rights reinforces Ghana's growing reputation as a premier destination for heritage, cultural and diaspora tourism.
It also provides an important platform to showcase the country's tourism, culture and creative arts sectors to the rest of Africa and the international community while strengthening collaboration across the continent's tourism industry.
