Suleman: I’m disappointed in our performance

Legon Cities skipper, Mohammed Suleman, has expressed his disappointment over their loss to Asante Kotoko despite emerging as the best player on the day.

According to the 26-year-old player, they deserved victory in order to improve their standing on the league log, but the defeat has pushed them down to a precarious position on the log.

Legon Cities currently occupy the 16th position with 12 points, and they could be relegated if they do not improve their performance in the topflight.

However, Suleman who was speaking during a post-match interview was unhappy with the team’s performance and believes they need to go back to the drawing board to identify their mistakes.

“I am not happy at all, we were supposed to have won this game because we are currently lying at a very bad position on the league log,” he responded to whether he was happy for emerging Man of the Match despite their loss.

Suleman who has made nine appearances for the Legon-based club this season has promised they will keep on fighting to ensure they climbed up the league ladder.
“The position we are currently is very bad, but we’ll see what God will do. We’ll fight back,” he noted.

The centre-back has been instrumental for Legon Cities and contributed to ensuring they survived relegation, and this attracted interest from clubs outside the country, including a potential move to South Africa side, Royal AM, last season but the deal fell through.
