Meanwhile, the Management of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament has reiterated that only duly registered and accredited players will be eligible to participate in the 2026 competition.

In an official statement signed by Patrick Doamekpor, Director of Sports, Management confirmed that Adzortsi Young Boys FC will not be permitted to field any player who has not been officially registered and approved in accordance with the tournament regulations.

The directive follows extensive consultations involving the Tournament Organising Committee, the Disciplinary Committee, Match Officials, Technical Advisors, and Tournament Management. The decision is fully supported by the DRT Tournament Regulations and Law 3 of the IFAB Laws of the Game, which governs player eligibility.

Management further emphasised that every participating team must present a minimum of seven duly registered and eligible players before an official match can commence. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the fixture not being played, with the defaulting club deemed unable to fulfil the fixture. Such violations may also attract disciplinary sanctions, including the awarding of three points and three goals to the opposing team in accordance with the tournament regulations.
