Salman Faris Tahiru set the tone early, scoring in the 10th minute with a brilliant finish, followed by Ezekiel Kwame Alladoh doubling the lead just seven minutes later. Nsoatreman FC fought back with a goal from Stephen Diyou shortly after halftime, but Blessing Assuman Dankwah, the match's Most Valuable Player, sealed the win with a goal in the 67th minute, restoring Lions' two-goal advantage.

This match marked a much-needed turnaround for Accra Lions after two defeats and a draw in their opening three matches.

Meanwhile, Nsoatreman FC faced their first defeat of the season following their recent exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.

At the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Hearts of Oak held Nations FC to a scoreless draw to split the points at stake, while an own goal by Christian Owusu condemned Dreams FC to a 0-1 defeat at Bechem United at the Nana Gyeabour Park.

Promoted Young Apostles FC continued their impressive start to their debut top-flight campaign as they came from behind to beat Aduana FC 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.

Rahman Rulf Abdul emerged as the hero with a superb brace to deliver the side's first Premier League.

Mohammed Muftawu opened the scoring for the home side before Emmanuel Marfo scored two goals for the visitors. But Abdul's double strikes late in the second half ensured victory for the home side.
