Graphic Sports Online can exclusively reveal that the onetime Black Stars midfield anchor landed in Norway a few days ago to undergo a two-week trial with IK Start as he eyes a contract.

The midfielder has been dogged by recurrent injuries in recent times

A 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup winner, Rabiu's career has been on a downward spiral in the past few years as recurrent injuries have become his biggest enemy. He has undergone two surgeries over the past three years and has spent several months in the treatment room.

Rabiu previously played for clubs including Evian of France, Russian sides FC Anzhi Makhachkala, Kuban Krasnodar and Krylia Sovetov.

Last year he returned to France to sign for second tier side Paris FC for a season.

On the international scene, he has been capped 31 times by Ghana at senior level and played both in the 2014 World Cup and the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

IK Start are currently wallowing in the relegation zone of the Norwegian Eliteserien with just nine points from 14 games.
