Afigya Kwabre East: With God all things are possible - Bawumia to Catholic congregation

The Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed his unwavering belief in God’s power, emphasising that “with God, all things are possible.”

Speaking to a Catholic congregation in Atimatim, Afigya Kwabre East Constituency, on Sunday, Dr. Bawumia reflected on his faith-driven journey to the presidency, underscoring his campaign slogan, “It is Possible,” as a testament to his reliance on divine guidance.

Addressing the congregation, Dr. Bawumia said, “Unless God builds the house, you labour in vain,” quoting Psalm 127. 

In a unique moment of unity, Dr. Bawumia’s visit saw both Christians and Muslims gathered under one roof. Imams, Zongo Chiefs, members of the Clergy, and traditional leaders of the Afigya Kwabre East Constituency joined the Catholic service, exemplifying the religious tolerance and harmony that Ghana is celebrated for.

Dr. Bawumia lauded the gathering as a symbol of Ghana’s religious tolerance, commending the presence of Muslim leaders in the Catholic Chapel. “It is so beautiful to see Imams here in this Chapel. This reflects our mutual understanding and respect for each other. You will hardly see this anywhere in the world, but this is happening here in Ghana,” he said.

Urging all Ghanaians to continue living in harmony, Dr. Bawumia noted that interfaith respect is a foundation for peace in Ghana. “Let us continue to live in harmony and continue to respect one another,” he advised.
