Pope Francis appoints new Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana
Pope Francis has appointed Monsignor Henryk Mieczyslaw Jagodzinki as the new Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana.
He becomes the 10th Nuncio to Ghana and replaces His Excellency Archbishop Jean Marie Speich, who was reassigned to Kosovo on March 19, 2019.

The announcement was contained in a press release signed by the Charge d’Affairs at the Apostolic Nunciature in Ghana, Rev. Monsignor Pavol Talakpa, in Accra yesterday, May 3, 2020.
“In addition to his new appointment, Monsignor Jagodzinki has also been promoted to the rank of an Archbishop by Pope Francis,” the release stated.
Biography
Monsignor Jagodzinki is a Polish by birth and was born on January 11, 1969 in Malogoszcz, Poland.
He was ordained a priest on June 3, 1995 and was incardinated in the Diocese of Kielce.
Monsignor Jagodzinki obtained a Doctorate Degree in Canon Law from the Pontifical University of Holy Cross, Rome in 2001.
In preparation for his Diplomatic Service, the new Apostolic Nuncio, who is also the Titular Archbishop-elect of Limosano, studied at the Pontifical Eccelsiastical Academy in Rome from 1999 to 2001.

Monsignor Jagodzinki, then entered the Diplomatic Service of the Holy See on July 1, 2001.

From 2018 until his appointment as Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, he was First Counsellor in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
