Held on the school’s premises, the programme, which was on the theme, "Time with Accomplished Ladies", was also to motivate them to aspire to greatness.

The event, which happens fortnightly, is hosted by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Echohouse Ghana Limited, Madam Beryl Agyekum, who started her business while in school.

Ms Agyekum spoke to the students and encouraged them to aspire to senior management positions.

Mentoring

According to Dr Mrs Ellen Hagan, the Founder of Legacy Girls College, Ghana’s first private all- girls’ school, the mentoring programme, formed part of the school's enhanced curriculum to encourage a deepening appreciation of the students’ self- worth, and to motivate them in knowing that excellence and leadership must be a deliberate decision.

She said the college follows the Ghana National Curriculum, as well as the British curriculum, and added that the three-year senior high school curriculum offered various options for entry into tertiary institutions.

She said the college also sought to prepare the students for the job market in addition to equipping them with leadership skills and a practical education for the girls.
