He also urged Ghanaian experts to tap into each other’s knowledge and experience to find a lasting solution to the many problems challenging the country.

Speaking at the memorial service to end the three days of national mournng of victims who were lost to the floods and fire which hit parts of Accra, Rev Anaba said, prayer alone would not solve the challenges and urged leaders to take responsibility and act in the right direction.

“Ghana is in a state of mourning, but weeping does not solve the problem. Positive action, involves expertise. Our engineers, doctors, contractors, businessmen and even the ordinary person in the citizenry must be able to have the necessary expertise to deal with challenges like these..,” he said.

Rev Eastwood Anaba, who lost his two daughters in a tragedy in 2009, expressed hope that the nation would come out greater and stronger.

He said, “I know, Ghana we are brave. We will survive this, we will conquer it, we will overcome. I have seen it, I’ve tasted it. My dear wife is on this ground with us. She has been able to master courage to even be in an atmosphere like this. I believe that if she can, Ghana can.”
