‘Adolescent reproductive health devt must be responsibility of all’

The Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Ebenezer Appiah Denkyira, has called on all to safeguard and promote adolescent reproductive health rights.

He said most adolescents had little or no knowledge about their stages of growth , so it was important that all , including the media, projected the issues relating to their adolescence.

The media in particular, he stated, had the role of projecting issues on adolescent reproductive health and also providing accurate information.
Dr Denkyira made the call at a media seminar organised by the Adolescent Health and Development Programme under the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and the National Population Council to discuss innovative ways to promote healthy living among adolescents in Accra.

The two day seminar brought together selected journalists and editors from media houses in Accra to deliberate on effective ways of disseminating information to the adolescents as well as family planning.
