Tennis: 4 Garrison for Wa
The 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club will travel to Wa in the Upper West Region at the weekend to play as guests of Wa Tennis Club in a friendly encounter.
The two-day tournament, dubbed: Special AU Day Tournament, will feature men’s singles, men’s doubles, ladies singles and ladies doubles.
According to Samuel Ampadu, the President of the 4 Garrison Tennis Club, the two clubs decided to take advantage of the AU holiday to play the tournament.
He said the Garrison team, led by Captain Kofi Otoo, will feature the likes of Robert Tetteh, S.S. Abebe, Samuel Ampadu-Kyei, Tony Wulari, Alex Yeboah Asuamah, Brig. Gen Joseph Adu Boampong, Benjamin Edusei, Samuel Taylor, Dr. Kojo Ansah, Kofi Dwomoh Asubonteng, Elorm Kpe, Peprah Sarpong and Kwame Asare, among others.
The ladies team, he said, would include Bridgit Sutinga and Brenda Sutinga, Dr. Rabbi, Dzifa Ahorlu and Rita Issaka.
Wa will parade the likes of Ahlex Kontor, ACP Kwasi Duku, Karl Gasten, Chris Alalbilla, Fred Bawa and Martin Derry.
