Babolat Doubles Open at Tema tomorrow

The fourth edition of the Babolat Doubles Open Championship serves off tomorrow at the GHACEM Tennis Club House in Tema at 8.00 a.m.

The contest, on the theme “Love All, Tennis for Peaceful Elections," according to the organisers, is aimed at complementing the efforts towards a peaceful 2016 election in line with the spirit of sportsmanship.

The Tour Coordinator of the Babolat Doubles Open Championship, Ismailia Lamptey, explained that there will be a battle for honours in four categories over three days.

"The players will battle for honours in four events: Professional Men, Social One Men's for advanced social players), Social Two Men's for players aged above 45 years and Mixed Doubles for social players.  All the matches start at 8 a.m. daily."

He added that tennis players who wished to be part of the competition could obtain registration forms at the Community 11 Shell Shop and the GHACEM Tennis Club House.
