Carlos Queiroz has made three changes to the Black Stars starting lineup for Saturday's World Cup Group L clash against Croatia, with Jerome Opoku rested as a precaution following a groin strain sustained against England.
Derrick Luckassen, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Elisha Owusu come into the side in place of Opoku, Caleb Yirenkyi, and Inaki Williams. Benjamin Asare retains his place in goal after an impressive clean sheet against England, with Gideon Mensah, Jonas Adjetey, and Marvin Senaya completing the defensive line.
Thomas Partey anchors the midfield alongside Kwasi Sibo and the returning Elisha Owusu, while Antoine Semenyo, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and captain Jordan Ayew lead the attack.
Lawrence Ati-Zigi, who missed the England match with a groin injury, is named among the substitutes alongside Joseph Anang. The bench also features Alidu Seidu, Caleb Yirenkyi, Abdul Fatawu, Brandon Thomas-Asante, and Inaki Williams, among others.
Ghana have already secured qualification for the Round of 32 following results elsewhere in the tournament, but a victory over Croatia would see the Black Stars finish top of Group L if England fail to beat Panama.
Croatia, who sit third in the group with three points, need at least a draw to guarantee their place in the knockout stage. Manager Zlatko Dalić has admitted his side have not shown their best, with the 2018 runners-up struggling for form after a 4-2 loss to England and a narrow 1-0 win over Panama.
"We need to raise the level of our play," Dalić said. "We're not what Croatia can be. We never made so many mistakes in some of the passes or when we were in the possession of the ball. We need to be quicker and we need to raise the level of concentration."
Ivan Perisic, the 37-year-old winger, expressed confidence in Croatia's record against African opposition, which includes three wins and a draw since 2014. "That's something that we commented on," Perisic said. "We played against many teams in the past 10 years, and all of the results were positive. So I believe that this is going to be the same this time as well."
Perisic acknowledged Ghana's defensive discipline under Queiroz but suggested the Black Stars might adopt a different approach. "They are a very good team. Very compact. Perhaps they played the lower block in the past two matches. Given that, maybe they might be changing for tomorrow or something, but we have to be ready for both options," he said.
Kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field is set for 9pm, with Ghana aiming to maintain their unbeaten record and head into the knockout phase with momentum.
