With only four goals scored from three matches, not many Maidens’ players are among the list of the top goalscorers at the end of their group campaign at the on-going FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
Sandra Owusu-Ansah’s consolation against Canada last Saturday, has however, placed her among the seven players with two goals in their name at the competition.
The top scorer’s chart is at the moment being led by Venezuela’s Deyna Castellanos who has four goals from three matches, while three others are hotly pursuing her with three goals each.
Thirty-five other players, including Jane Ayieyam and Gladys Amfobea, have each scored a goal.
