Medeama announce Ignatius Kwame Osei-Fosu as head coach

Ghana Premier League side, Medeama SC, have announced the signing of Ignatius Kwame Osei-Fosu as the club’s new head coach for the next three years.

Coach Osei-Fosu will lead the Tarkwa-based club ahead of the 2021/2022 season after putting pen to paper on Friday, August 20, 2021.

The young trainer replaced Yaw Preko whose time with the club ended after the 2020/2021 campaign.

Announcing the deal, Medeama wrote on its Twitter page “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ignatius Kwame Osei-Fosu as our new head coach on a three-year deal. Welcome to Tarkwa.”

Coach Osei-Fosu was in charge of Eleven Wonders FC in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League where they finished 12th on the log.

Meanwhile, Medeama finished 5th on the top flight standings and also reached semi-finals in the MTN FA Cup before they lost to eventual winners Hearts of Oak.

The Yellow and Mauves are looking to win their maiden league title next and are hopeful Coach Osei-Fosu is the right man to lead the club to that target.
