Kotoko, Ashgold clash Sunday

Current league leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, will contend with regional rivals, Ashantigold, in a penultimate Glo Premier League match at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.

The outcome of the big match will be crucial to Kotoko’s search for a back-to-back league title triumph this season.

Interestingly, fellow title chasers and joint leaders, Berekum Chelsea, will also be home to regional rivals, Aduana Stars, in a tight encounter which they cannot afford to lose.

Medeama Sporting Club, who are a point shy of the leaders, have a difficult away battle against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Stadium.

Accra Hearts of Oak will play as guests of New Edubiase United at the Bekwai Park, while Heart of Lions will travel up north to fight for the three maximum points against RTU to enhance their chances of avoiding relegation.

Another relegation-threatened side, Tema Youth, will be locked up in a make-or-break affair with King Faisal at Tema, while Wa All Stars play host to Berekum Arsenals at Wa.  

At Dansoman, Liberty Professionals will be at home to Amidaus Professionals.
