Kotoko appoints new management team

The Life Patron of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, together with the Board and Chief Executive of the club, has approved the appointment of an eight-member management team to steer the affairs of the club.

The Chief Executive of Kotoko Sporting Club, Nana Yaw Amponsah, who announced this, named Mr Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi as the new Administrative and Operations Manager of Kotoko, with Mr Moses Antwi Benefo as the Communications Manager.

The position of Commercial Manager was given to Mr Eric Amoako Twum, with Mr Thomas Sevordzi taking the position of Financial Manager while Dentaa Amoateng assumed the position of the Manager of Diaspora and International Relations.

The Head of the Legal team went to Akua Pokuaa Kwarteng, with Nilo Effori and David Obeng Nyarko taking the positions of Head of Legal -International, and Special Assistant to the CEO, respectively.

Describing the new management team as astute and made up of consummate professionals who are specialists in their respective fields, Nana Yaw Amponsah noted “they believe in the vision and direction of this great club and have the requisite knowledge and experience to drive the club to achieve its set target through the modernisation and commercialisation of the sport.”

Comparing Kumasi Asante Kotoko to a gold mining company, Nana Amponsah said the team “needs skilled miners to help extract the gold within.”

He, therefore, implored all stakeholders of Kotoko “to throw their immense support behind this team to deliver gold for the greatest club in Ghana.”
